Latihan soal bahasa Inggris ini berada di unit. 3 Turn back hoax! tepatnya pada halaman 329. Sudah saatnya bagi murid kelas 9 SMP untuk belajar mengamati, menganalisis, dan merangkai kalimat dari apa yang dilihatnya.
Instruksi:
Look at the infographic. Then, write the steps of filtering news based on the information in the infographic. You may complete the steps by following the YES or NO arrows. When you are done, read your friends’ steps. See if they use the same low as yours.
Cara mengerjakan:
1. Lihatlah ke gambar infografik halaman 329
2. Tulislah langkah-langkah menyaring berita berdasarkan informasi dari infografik yang kalian lihat pada gambar tersebut.
3. Kalian bisa merangkai langkah-langkahnya dengan mengikuti kolom YES atau NO.

If it real, proceed to the next step. First, (if yes) examine if it is well-written. You need to consider 2 choices:
(if no) then, do not share it.
(if yes) observe if it’s a news or opinion. (choose on of them)
a. News
If it’s a news, check if the news is based on evidence.
(if no) then, do not share it.
(if yes) then, analyze if there is sneaky bias
(if yes ) do not share it though.
(if yes) then, analyze if there is open bias in the news. If yes, you may share it but be aware before sharing.
b. Opinion
If it’s an opinion, you may check if it is supported by facts.
(if yes) of course you can share it.
(if no) consider whether the news entertains or raises awareness.
